Building on its legacy of continuous investment in facility expansion and enhancement, this milestone achievement — the result of two years of development — reinforces the group’s position as a leading provider of diverse services to yacht owners worldwide. It cements the shipyard’s position as a top-tier destination for refits and maintenance. Situated on 656 feet (200 meters) of waterfront property at the Port of Kaohsiung in Taiwan, Premier Shipyard spans 260,000 square feet (24,000 square meters) of private yard space.
A New Standard for Superyacht Refit in Asia
Designed to accommodate yachts of 230 feet-plus (70 meters+), Premier Shipyard is the go-to centre for superyacht refit and maintenance in the region. The new Pearlson Shiplift System measures 148 feet by 56 feet (45 by 17 meters), with a capacity to accommodate yachts up to 295 feet (90 meters) in length and beams up to 52 feet (16 meters). The shiplift platform alone weighs 700 tons, setting a new benchmark for capability and scale in the region.
Premier Shipyard has cultivated a robust reputation through close collaboration with leading classification societies, including Bureau Veritas (BV), Lloyd’s Register (LR), Registro Italiano Navale (RINA), and Det Norske Veritas (DNV). The yard’s proven track record includes servicing over 30 yachts worldwide, encompassing esteemed brands such as Feadship and Riva, and completing refits on vessels measuring up to 227 feet (69 meters).
