M/Y Victon’s 2025 Refit in Central Bangkok

Clearvac Engineering Asia welcomed the 41m Gulf Craft Majesty 135 as she entered the dry-dock facility on the Chao Phraya River for a scheduled ten-week refit period of engineering works, project managed by Clearvac Engineering Asia’s superyacht services centre. Delivered in 2012 as Lady Tahiti, M/Y Victon is a composite motor yacht built in the UAE. Designed for long-range cruising, she features a GRP hull and superstructure, twin diesel engines, and guest accommodation across three decks.
Scope of Work for M/Y Victon included:
Stabilisers: The stabiliser system received a full overhaul with genuine Abtrac parts. This included a new hydraulic pump, new hydraulic rams, sea water pump and anti-vibration mount upgrades fitted on hydraulic lines in guest areas. Stabiliser fins were removed and new bearings installed and all other parts of the system serviced. New sound insulation was also installed to the engine room bulkhead near the hydraulic
power pack to reduce noise transfer.
Ships Running Gear: Tail shafts, rudders and props were removed, inspected, tested are reinstalled with laser alignment. tail shaft propellers and bow thruster propellers were balanced and polished.
Interior and Exterior Wood Work: The existing jacuzzi was removed and a new teak decking “Compass Rose” design was created in its place. Further teak repairs were carried out across various areas of the exterior decks. Exterior tables were re-varnished and corian surfaces repaired and refinished. Interior veneer damages were repaired and recoated.
Auxiliary Systems: Various systems onboard were serviced and repaired including, bow thruster, anchor windlass, air compressor, water-makers, galley extraction fan, accommodation extraction fans, ice machines, new Cathelco system anodes, yacht freshwater system pipework modifications and thu-hull valve servicing and replacement.
Stainless Fabrication: Various new 316 stainless-steel items were custom fabricated, including sea-strainer baskets, custom made swim ladder with deck mounts, swim platform cleats, exterior plug-socket covers and escape hatch hinges.
Preventative Cleaning Maintenance: Various preventative cleaning maintenance tasks were performed including, black water pipe maintenance, freshwater pipe descaling and super chlorination, tank cleaning, fuel polishing, accommodation extraction system ducting cleaning, yacht galley and laundry fire preventionservices and ozone treatment of all interior spaces.
Antifouling: The hull was sanded, filler repairs completed and new Hemple antifouling system applied. Prop speed was applied to props, shafts and bow thruster propellers
All works were undertaken in Clearvac’s Bangkok Refit Facility. The yard sits in a prime city centre location, giving crews direct access to accommodation, world-class cuisine, excellent transport links, and everyday amenities. Step off the gangway and you are in one of the most visited cities in the world. Nearby hotels, and a lively riverfront make yard time a pleasure.
