Superyacht Crew Academy (SCA), in partnership with Sydney Maritime Institute (SMI), is pleased to announce the launch of their newly approved AMSA CoST STCW course, becoming the only independently run registered training organisation (RTO) to deliver this course in New South Wales.
The Certificate of Safety Training (CoST), delivered under International STCW 95 +10 requirements, is approved by the Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA), ensuring the course meets national and international standards for safety and competency at sea.
This new approval reinforces the commitment of both Superyacht Crew Academy and Sydney Maritime Institute to delivering high-quality, compliant maritime education tailored to the needs of the superyacht and commercial maritime sectors.
The AMSA-approved CoST STCW course equips crew with essential safety knowledge and practical skills required to work on vessels in Australian and international waters, meeting the highest safety benchmarks in the industry.
“This AMSA approval to deliver the STCW Certificate of Safety Training is a significant milestone for our organisation and reinforces our commitment to excellence in maritime education.”
“We are extremely proud to be approved to deliver STCW training on behalf of AMSA. Representing Australia’s national maritime safety authority in this capacity is both an honour and a responsibility we take very seriously.”
