TEJI | COWIE marks their first year with €1.5 billion of yacht deals and teams growing in London and Hong Kong. The specialist superyacht law firm celebrates its first anniversary this September, having advised on more than 25,000 GT of vessels in its debut year.
The superyacht law firm TEJI | COWIE was launched in September 2025, and over the year the team have advised owners on matters representing approximately €1.5 billion in yacht value and more than 25,000 GT of vessel tonnage.
The Firm They Would Have Wanted to Instruct
The firm opened its doors with a straightforward proposition: that owners, family offices and industry professionals want lawyers who are as commercially minded as they are technically expert, and who are ultimately judged on whether the deal gets done. In practice, that has meant an end to the hourly rate, a technology-led approach to how the work is delivered, and a senior team on every matter. Twelve months in, the model is working.

London and Hong Kong, Both at Full Strength
That growth has been matched by rapid recruitment. TEJI | COWIE has made a series of hires across both its London and Hong Kong offices during its first year, with further appointments to be announced in the coming months as the firm continues to build capacity in both hubs.

A Year on the Circuit
It has also been an active year across the international superyacht calendar. The team attended the Singapore Yachting Festival and Palma International Boat Show, and the founders will be at the Cannes Yachting Festival and the Monaco Yacht Show in September, where they look forward to marking the anniversary with clients and friends of the firm.
