Chairman of Gulf Craft Honoured with Lifetime Achievement Award
Gulf Craft Group is one of the world’s only fully integrated yacht manufacturers, with brands such as Majesty and Nomad, amongst others. Mohammed Hussein Alshaali, Chairman of Gulf Craft, was honoured in Amsterdam with the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award at the 10th annual Boat Builder Awards for Business Achievement.
This recognition celebrates Alshaali’s exceptional leadership and ground breaking contributions to the global leisure maritime industry over the past four decades, including elevating Gulf Craft to its current global prominence. The Chairman was deeply moved and incredibly proud of the recognition, which was especially meaningful for Gulf Craft, considering that previous winners have typically been from Western or European regions, rather than the Middle East. In accepting the award, he expressed his gratitude to Gulf Craft’s suppliers, partners, and customers for their ongoing support.
Under the Chairman’s visionary guidance, Gulf Craft has transformed from a modest boat maker into a global leader in yacht and boat manufacturing. Founded in 1982, the company has crafted over 10,000 vessels, with a state-of-the-art, fully integrated design and production facility, spanning over 462,000 sq ft in the UAE, as well as an additional facility in the Maldives.
Alshaali’s relentless commitment to innovation has set new industry standards, driving advancements in lightweight hull designs, eco-friendly propulsion systems, and cutting-edge navigation technologies. A prime example of this is the Majesty 175, the world’s largest composite production superyacht, which exemplifies the company’s pioneering spirit.
