The Asia Superyacht Night (Monaco) on Tuesday 24 September 2024, was a huge success with the Committee welcoming over 250 members and guests to our signature event. 'Southeast Asia' was the theme of this year’s Asia Superyacht Night, and guests were welcomed in true Asian Style by Thai dancers. The Asia-Pacific Superyacht industry is back in action with events being hosted in Australia, Fiji, Thailand, Singapore, and Hong Kong. These combined with the international events means there is a lot to look forward in the second half of 2024, and here are some events coming up!
The 4th Edition of the Monaco Smart & Sustainable Marina Rendezvous concluded after two intense days of conferences, networking, workshops and presentations. Organized by Monaco Marina Management (M3), the event brought together over 250 professionals from the maritime industry, as well as numerous investors from around the world who came to meet innovators. Their shared goal is to modernize and make maritime infrastructure more sustainable. This event demonstrates how sustainability is becoming a true driver of change. A selection of 20 start-ups and scale-ups, along with ten architectural firms and a dozen marinas were present.
The first sailing yacht in Wally’s new wallywind collection, Galma, debuted at Monaco Yacht Show 2024 (25-28 September). The jaw-dropping wallywind110 is the largest to have been delivered since the Ferretti Group took the helm at Wally, and she is evidence of the company’s commitment to sailing with a second hull already in build. “Ever since Wally came into the universe of Ferretti Group, it has carried on being Wally,” explains Avv. Alberto Galassi, Ferretti Group Chief Executive Officer.

The keys to the new OCEA motor yacht have been handed over to its owner. Araok II is a 32.70-meter OCEA Commuter 108. This ocean-going yacht is designed to navigate the world’s oceans and can comfortably accommodate eight guests and four crew members, providing excellent safety throughout. It is the first OCEA yacht to feature engines meeting the latest IMO Tier III emissions standards, allowing it to navigate without restrictions in all emission control areas.
The British pop star’s incredible live performance was the highpoint of the preview showcasing Ferretti Group’s 37-strong fleet with seven world premieres in Monaco. It was night to remember, with a spectacular live performance by Robbie Williams and the most beautiful boats in the world, all set in the magical atmosphere of yachting capital Monte Carlo, at the Yacht Club de Monaco.
Sanlorenzo’s CEO Massimo Perotti credits his own customers as the inspiration behind his innovative new yacht – the 50Steel. “Some of our clients are part of what we call the Connoisseurs Club,” he explains. “It’s an informal space dedicated to the exchange of ideas and experiences. After Covid, some of our members started questioning me about sustainability at our shipyard, and I knew I had to listen.”

The Singapore office of international law firm Hill Dickinson has joined forces with local firm PDLegal LLC in an alliance that allows both firms to extend their scope of services. The two firms have entered into a Formal Law Alliance, which received approval from the Singapore Legal Services Regulatory Authority and became effective from 1 August 2024. It will operate under the name Hill Dickinson PDLegal.

Scheduled for September 25, 2024, at 10:30 AM, the conference will bring together journalists, industry professionals, and yacht clients for an in-depth discussion on sustainability in yachting. This session will spotlight current environmental challenges while showcasing practical and accessible solutions that demonstrate the industry's tangible efforts.
