The Asia-Pacific Superyacht Association (APSA) was well represented at the Southeast Asia Yachting Conference and the Singapore Yachting Festival (SYF) in April this year. With three APSA Committee members and over 50 members involved as speakers, delegated, exhibitors, and visitors, it was a great networking event. As a Supporting Partner, APSA was also actively involved in the new Superyacht Lounge, and everyone agreed that it was a great addition to the Festival for the superyacht community.
When crew turnover is high and safety management lacks oversight, even the most luxurious vessel can face operational risks, inefficiencies and compliance challenges. With industry-wide crew attrition exceeding 50% in some roles and the growing complexity of regulatory requirements, yacht owners must take a proactive approach to protect their crew, vessels and reputation.
The Singapore Yachting Festival (SYF) 2025, held at ONE°15 Marina Sentosa Cove (10 to 13 April) showed Asia has a strong and vibrant yachting industry, and a growing superyacht community. The festival welcomed over 12,000 visitors and featured more than 100 participating brands, with over 20 companies making their festival debut. Singapore’s reputation as Southeast Asia’s yachting hub was reconfirmed with 70 yachts on display in-the-water, with 15 yachts being over 24 metres, along with 10 Asian premieres, and two global debuts.

The 2025 Singapore Yachting Festival returned with great success to ONE°15 Marina Sentosa Cove, reaffirming its role as the region’s most significant yachting showcase. Welcoming an international audience of owners, yachting enthusiasts, and industry leaders, the event was a celebration of the region’s growing stature as a global yachting hub. Simpson Marine showcased six standout models, including the Sanlorenzo SL96A, SD96, SX88, Bluegame BGX73, the Bluegame BGX60, and the Axopar 45 XC, drawing strong interest from guests, clients and media throughout the four-day event.

StellarPM is delighted to announce the signing of a new construction contract for the second ST108 from its StellarONE series of motoryachts. The ST108 is a long-range, full displacement raised pilothouse yacht constructed with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure.
Gold Coast City Marina & Shipyard (GCCM) – the iconic shipyard that redefined Australia’s marine industry by boldly transforming Gold Coast farming paddocks into an internationally renowned ‘one-stop-shop’ for vessel refit and repair has notched up 25 years. Since opening in 2000 as the first major marina development within the Gold Coast’s famous Coomera marine precinct, GCCM has been instrumental in changing the face of how boaties managed vessel maintenance and bolstering the Gold Coast’s status as the marine capital of Australia.
Motor yacht Asia Poseidon, a 2014 Benetti with exterior styling by Stefano Righini and interiors from Zuretti Interior Design, has successfully completed an intensive refit programme in Bangkok. The vessel arrived from her berth in Pattaya before entering Clearvac Engineering Asia’s Superyacht Shipyard, where a concentrated four-week schedule was carried out to meet the requirements of her upcoming RINA class survey.
World Boating Day, an international open day for the entire leisure boating industry already spanning over 9 countries in 2024, is already on its way to grow bigger in its Second Edition. On May 24th, 2025, the Superyacht Life Foundation – who coordinates the entire campaign, is inviting businesses, foundations and yacht crew from within the boating and yachting industries to open their doors for a “glocal” celebration.

Industry leaders headlined the Southeast Asia Yachting Conference (SEAYC) that saw 200 plus delegates attending the two-day programme (8-9 April, 2025). Organised by ONE°15 Events and hosted at ONE°15 Marina, Sentosa Cove, Singapore, the conference began with a Keynote Panel Address by Marco Valle, CEO of Azimut|Benetti Group, and Arthur Tay, Chairman and CEO of SUTL Group and ONE°15 Marina, that was led by MC, Wicky Sundram.
