The Australian Superyacht Conference (ASMEX) 2025 was held at stunning new beachfront venue, The Langham Gold Coast in Queensland from Monday 19 May to Wednesday 21 May. The Asia-Pacific Superyacht Association (APSA) was well represented at the Southeast Asia Yachting Conference and the Singapore Yachting Festival (SYF) in April this year. With three APSA Committee members and over 50 members involved as speakers, delegated, exhibitors, and visitors, it was a great networking event. As a Supporting Partner, APSA was also actively involved in the new Superyacht Lounge, and everyone agreed that it was a great addition to the Festival for the superyacht community.
When crew turnover is high and safety management lacks oversight, even the most luxurious vessel can face operational risks, inefficiencies and compliance challenges. With industry-wide crew attrition exceeding 50% in some roles and the growing complexity of regulatory requirements, yacht owners must take a proactive approach to protect their crew, vessels and reputation.
The Singapore Yachting Festival (SYF) 2025, held at ONE°15 Marina Sentosa Cove (10 to 13 April) showed Asia has a strong and vibrant yachting industry, and a growing superyacht community. The festival welcomed over 12,000 visitors and featured more than 100 participating brands, with over 20 companies making their festival debut. Singapore’s reputation as Southeast Asia’s yachting hub was reconfirmed with 70 yachts on display in-the-water, with 15 yachts being over 24 metres, along with 10 Asian premieres, and two global debuts.

The 2025 Singapore Yachting Festival returned with great success to ONE°15 Marina Sentosa Cove, reaffirming its role as the region’s most significant yachting showcase. Welcoming an international audience of owners, yachting enthusiasts, and industry leaders, the event was a celebration of the region’s growing stature as a global yachting hub. Simpson Marine showcased six standout models, including the Sanlorenzo SL96A, SD96, SX88, Bluegame BGX73, the Bluegame BGX60, and the Axopar 45 XC, drawing strong interest from guests, clients and media throughout the four-day event.
